We had the most votes ever this year and the process helped update a number of features on Planeta.com. The conversation also extended onto Web 2.0, particularly Twitter. This contest raised awareness of all of the titles and signals a continuing interest of our readers in environmental travel.

So without further ado ... kudos to the authors of our 2009 Book of the Year Award: Clean Breaks!

ABOUT THE AWARD

REQUIREMENT - Books must be published in 2009 or in the last two months of 2008.

NOMINATIONS - Authors and publishers are encouraged to submit their own work. Publishers are asked to nominate no more than two titles.

VOTING - Voting took place in November 2009. Respondents were be asked to review all the nominees and choose their favorite. Multiple votes from a singe user were not be permitted.

AUTHORS

Authors and publishers are encouraged to submit their own work. Winners claim bragging rights and winning titles are featured on this website. A suggestion - please review Planeta.com's tips explaining how to make effective use of our website.
