Oregon - Marketing Indigenous Tourism / Biodiversity Workshop:
New Information and Web-based Technologies takes place September
11 from 9am-5pm at the Hilton Portland.
This event features the winners and finalists of the Indigenous
Tourism and Biodiversity Website Award including TIME Unlimited
Tours, Nutti Sami Siida, Te Urewera Treks and Chalalan Ecolodge.
Participants will get a hand's on experience of using Web
2.0 channels for immediate and inexpensive communication,
including genuine conversation, business networking and guerrilla
marketing.
This workshop is facilitated by Ron
Mader who will guide participants through training modules
and games designed to build trust and understanding.
