April 16 through 24, 2016 is National Park Week in the USA.
The National Park Service turns 100 years old in 2016 and on 16 days this year, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone.

On our wishlist is an engaged interaction among park managers, locals and visitors. Visitation at US parks is on the upswing for national and international visitors.
We ask this year – Centennial of National Parks in the USA – what the best examples are of conscious tourism and responsible travel? Are we loving the parks to death or are tourism visits the necessary ingredient for biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation and a host of other social goods?
