April 24-25 Primer Encuentro de Cocineras Tradicionales del Oaxaca (First Meeting of Traditional Cooks of Oaxaca)

Oaxaca City’s Plaza de la Danza hosted the First Meeting of Traditional Cooks of the Oaxaca (Primer Encuentro de Cocineras Tradicionales del Oaxaca). More than 50 cooks from the eight regions of the state will attend.

The event coincides with the anniversary of the founding of Oaxaca City.

The Primer Encuentro is an initiative of the Oaxaca City government, under the organization of Celia Florian, representing the traditional cooks and Adriana Aguilar Escobar, director of Municipal Tourism.
