Helderberg Nature Reserve is a 398-hectare nature reserve in Cape Town, South Africa. This nature reserve is located on the southern slopes of the Helderberg mountains. Its 398 hectares consist mostly of “Kogelberg Sandstone Fynbos” with smaller patches of “Boland Granite Fynbos” and “Southern Afrotemperate Forest.”

The visitor center is open daily 10am-4pm.

History
In the early 1960’s, The Rotary Club of Somerset West suggested that a Nature Reserve would benefit the community. On 3 October 1964, the farmland was opened as a reserve by the Administrator of the Cape.
