Kerala, India – The popular tourist destination in southern India has been battling heavy rains for over a week, which has left many parts of the state submerged in floodwaters. Since the onset of monsoon on May 29 this year, 264 people have died. The international airport at Kochi has suspended operations and the armed forces are working on the rescue operations.
