More news about Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area as we explore it on foot.

This is reputed to be one of most interesting wild places to visit in the Las Vegas Lands.

In 2017 the Nawghaw Poa Road (“mountain sheep trail” in Paiute!) and contact station were formally inaugurated.

How to get there:
Nawghaw Poa Road is just west of Democracy Drive and Via Firenze.

The contact station is open from 8am to 4:30pm daily between October 1 and May 31. From June 1 to September 30, the station is open from 8am to 4:30pm Friday through Sunday.
