Timestamp = current time of an event recorded by a computer.
Why it’s important – A timestamp directs a viewer or listener to a particular soundbite. An hour-long conversation may be interesting, but we’d like to direct attention to the specific bits – the explanations or smart chatter.
Example – if there is a discussion about nature travel in Belize as a means of generating funds for biodiversity conservation, we’d like to know exactly when it takes place during the 3-hour opening video.
